Moving Company FAQs

Common questions about our moving services, pricing, and policies

Do you bill in hourly increments or prorate?

DieHard Movers Denver charges on hourly increments for all our moves; however, we do provide leeway if you go over up to 15 minutes of the hour. We may also start billing on half-hour increments after 5 hours of moving service.

When does my time start?

Your time starts at dispatch; however, we will compensate for traffic. We check Google Maps for estimated time to your location without traffic, and use that time. Your movers will call upon dispatch to let you know when they are on their way. From the moment they arrive, you can keep them as long as you need. Your time ends when your move ends. You are not responsible for the time back to our warehouse.

Is there additional charge for gas and mileage?

No. We are very opposed to hidden fees. The rate you get for your movers is an all-inclusive rate that includes truck and equipment, including gas and mileage. However, if you are over 50 miles away, we charge a dollar for every extra mile outside the 50-mile marker (including to and from your location).

Are your quotes binding?

Our quotes are general estimates. They are non-binding and merely an approximation of the cost and time estimated for your move. You are not required to sign the estimate as the move may go over or under the estimated time.

Are there certain items you will not move?

We cannot move any perishables, hazardous items, or improperly packaged electronics. Perishables include live items such as plants, food, or pets. Hazardous/flammable items include gasoline, ammunition, loaded weapons, matches, and poisonous items. Electronics not in their original packing cannot be moved by us as it is a violation of our insurance policy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Simply give us a call and we will cancel your move. We require you to cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled move. If you cancel within those 48 hours, there is a fee of $25-$50 depending on the size of your move. With limited movers and trucks, a cancelled move with no replacement means lost work for our scheduled crew.

Does your company require a deposit upon booking?

We do require a valid debit/credit card to book your move as well as a small deposit of $1 to check that the card is valid. This amount is refunded on the day of your move. Nothing else will be charged unless you wish to use that card as payment on moving day.

How will you protect my furniture?

DieHard Movers Denver puts the safety of your furniture at the top of our priority list. Our movers arrive with all necessary equipment to relocate your furniture safely. They will pad and wrap your furniture to reduce the chance of any scuffs or scratches, and load it safely into the truck with a dolly if required.

What forms of payment do you accept?

DieHard Movers Denver accepts all major credit and debit cards.

Are we allowed to help load our furniture?

Unfortunately, no. Our insurance company does not allow this as it would be a breach of our mover's insurance. However, you are in charge of your move, and would be able to help if you are willing to waive insurance coverage.

This FAQ page is only here for your convenience. Please do not hesitate to give us a call if you wish to talk to a DieHard Movers Denver representative about your move. We are always happy to help.
