Packing Tips
- Do a clean sweep of your home or office and throw away old or unused items.
- Have a garage sale for items you want to sell.
- When packing plates, put a paper plate between each plate to keep them from scratching.
- If packing your own boxes, mark fragile boxes with red tape.
- Mark the boxes you want opened first at your new home.
- Pack starting with items you use less frequently, leaving frequently used items for last.
- Wrap breakable items in newspaper or magazine paper.
- Check Craigslist for free boxes.
- Keep a suitcase out for the essentials for the first few days in your new home.
- Be ready for moving day -- make sure all items are packed and ready for the movers.
- Make sure your fridge and freezer are defrosted before the movers arrive.

Wrapping Tips
- Use clothing to wrap breakable items.

- Label the wires on your electronics with tape and a marker so you know what goes where.
